If you use Safari as your browser on your iPhone or iPad, you can change your default search engine from the Google to Yahoo, Bing or DuckDuckGo. No longer do you have to be a slave to Google, although I warn you now, they tend to return the most valuable and useful results.
With Safari’s unified search bar, you can simply type in what you’re searching for and your results will be shown on which ever search engine you have set as your default. No more having to go to the search page first.
The following tutorial will show you to set up your default search engine, which is currently likely to be Google, in four simple steps:
Step 1
Open Settings
Step 2
Scroll down and tap on Safari
Step 3
Tap Search Engine
Step 4
Tap on the search engine you wish to use.
Don’t worry, you can change this as many times as you like.
I hope you found this useful and please go ahead and share this tutorial using one of your favourite social media channels below.
